Sarah Lynn Cunningham

Louisville, KY, US
Trained on February 9th, 2011
30 lifetime presentations

Biography

Sarah Lynn Cunningham is the director of the Louisville Climate Action Network (www.louisvillecan.org), the only local organization focused solely on fighting climate change. Through its free, educational programs, Louisville CAN explains in plain language the unequivocal scientific realities of global climate change and shows the many ways that Louisvillians can reduce their carbon footprints.

Ms. Cunningham is a licensed, professional environmental engineer and a state certified environmental educator. She holds two interdisciplinary degrees from the University of Louisville (UofL): a bachelor’s in environmental engineering and a master’s in environmental education and environmental history. She has taught green design at UofL.

Sarah Lynn has been an environmental activist for 40 years. (She got started young and is older than she looks!)

Through her civil service for a large publicly-owned utility and a decade of practical experience identifying and implementing energy-efficiency projects and practices, Sarah Lynn decided to commit herself to educating others about the many benefits of reducing their carbon footprints.

After being invited to join www.theclimateproject.org (TCP) and licensed by Al Gore to give her own version of "An Inconvenient Truth," she co-founded the Louisville Climate Action Network (www.louisvillecan.org). She has since been promoted to district manager of TCP’s presenters in IN, IL, KY, MO and OH.
